You can test SmartUBL for free. You do this by registering an account and providing PDFs (by email or upload) of the invoices you would like to convert to UBL. We will convert upto 10 invoices for free within 1 week, or up to 30 invoices within 2 weeks – whichever comes first. This allows you to try SmartUBL extensively.

Submitting

You can deliver invoices in three ways: uploading in our portal, emailing to the generated email address or via our API (directly from your accounting software).
You can only submit your invoices in PDF. A PDF must contain one invoice, not multiple invoices.
Yes, you can scan invoices and submit them as a PDF (one invoice per PDF). Our solution can also process handwritten invoices.
This is not possible. SmartUBL recognizes and processes the first invoice in the PDF and ignores the remaining invoices. You should therefore submit your invoices individually.

Processing

On average, converting an invoice takes 8 hours. Depending on any peak periods, this can go up to a maximum of 24 hours.

Yes, you can see the status of your invoices. After logging into our portal, click on “History” at the top right. Under ‘Status’ you will then find the status of the documents you have submitted. The following statuses can occur.
  • Received: the document has been received.
  • In progress: the document is being processed to UBL.
  • Processed: The UBL invoice is ready.
  • Rejected: The document has been rejected (under “Reason Rejected” you will find the reason why the document was rejected)

Received

Your UBL invoices will be sent to the selected email address or sent via API to your accounting software.

API

With our API, you set up an automatic connection between SmartUBL and your accounting software. This allows you to submit and receive documents directly in your own software. Are you interested in our API? Then please contact us.
